A raw amethyst cluster, cut from a natural geode and left unpolished. The crystal faces are the ones the stone grew; the grey-white rock underneath is the original geode wall, not a base that was added. Every piece is cut individually, so the outline, the depth of purple and the crystal size differ on each one.

• You like a raw geological look - visible rock, uneven edges, no polish
• You are buying a first crystal and want something recognisable and well formed

Who this is not for

• You want a matched pair or a specific shape. These are cut from natural geode, so we cannot promise a particular outline, and two orders will not match.
• You want a large statement piece. The largest band here is about the footprint of a deck of cards. We do not stock the 300 g+ sizes - they cost more to ship than they are worth to you.
• You want deep uniform purple. Natural amethyst is banded; the colour is strongest at the crystal tips and pales toward the rock.
• You need it to stand upright unaided. Most pieces sit flat on the sawn base, some lean. If it matters, buy a small stand separately.

FAQ

Will my piece look like the photo?

Not exactly. These are cut from natural geode. The colour and general character will match; the outline and crystal size will not.

Does it stand up on its own?

Most pieces sit flat on the sawn base. Some lean. We cannot guarantee that a particular piece stands perfectly upright.

Which size should I pick?

The 50-60 g piece is about palm-sized and suits a desk or shelf edge. The 100-150 g piece is roughly the footprint of a deck of cards and reads as an object in a room.

Is this real amethyst?

Yes - natural amethyst quartz cut from geode, not dyed glass or resin. We do not supply a lab certificate.

Can I keep it in sunlight?

Better not to. Amethyst fades with prolonged direct sun, so keep it off a sunny windowsill if you want the colour to hold.
